Sam Sharman

Coach | Personal Training Instructor

I’m Sam, a former Royal Marines Commando and currently serving as a Physical Training Instructor (PTI) within the Royal Air Force.

With a military background rooted in discipline, resilience, and elite physical conditioning, my approach to coaching is structured, motivating, and built around real, measurable progress.

I’ve been coaching CrossFit for over three years, and nothing motivates me more than seeing people push their limits, overcome challenges, and grow — not just physically, but mentally too. I’m also an active competitor in CrossFit, and I love testing my abilities at a high level. That experience helps me bring practical insight and performance-focused training to every athlete I coach.

A Bit About Sam

MY PATH TO COACHING

My journey into coaching came naturally — driven by my love for training, helping others, and the power of transformation. Coming from a military background, I’ve always been passionate about structure, hard work, and accountability. When I discovered CrossFit, I saw how it combined all of those values with a deep sense of community and personal development. Coaching became the perfect way to combine my experience with my passion for seeing others succeed.

COACHING FOCUS

I bring a technical and disciplined approach to coaching, with a focus on improving strength, mobility, and performance through functional movements. I love working with athletes of all levels — whether you’re new to CrossFit or chasing competitive goals.

Two of my favourite movements to coach and perform are the Bar Muscle-Up and the Split Jerk — they both represent power, precision, and skill, which are at the heart of great training.

With over a decade of experience in elite military training, I bring a high-performance mindset to every session. I hold the following qualifications:

– Level 3 Personal Training Certification
– Level 2 Strength & Conditioning Coach
– Qualified Military Physical Training Instructor

I apply this knowledge to help clients develop strength, resilience, and confidence — inside and outside the gym.
